Yield:
1 large pizza (approx. 8 slices)

Ingredients

1 premade pizza crust (12-14 inch)

1 (398 mL) can baked beans (BBQ-style)

2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1½ cups shredded rotisserie chicken

¼ medium red onion, thinly sliced

1-2 jalapeños, deseeded and thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F ( 200°C).
  2. Place the pizza crust on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. In a medium bowl, add beans and lightly mash with a fork to create a thicker spread.
  4. Spread mashed beans evenly over pizza crust, leaving a small border.
  5. Sprinkle half of the Monterey Jack cheese over the beans. Followed by shredded rotisserie chicken, red onion, and jalapeño slices. Top with the remaining Monterey Jack cheese.
  6. Bake 15-18 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Allow pizza to cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

Tips:

  • If you want an even stronger BBQ flavour, you can drizzle a little extra BBQ sauce over the top of the pizza before baking.
  • For an extra crispy crust, you can pre-bake your premade crust for a few minutes before adding toppings, as per package instructions.
